The Titans confirmed yesterday the omission of William Zillman through injury - instead David Mead will play fullback to open the club's 10th NRL season. New signing John Olive comes in to replace Mead on the wing.

Newcastle have left Lachlan Fitzgibbon off the bench so Daniel Safiti comes in wearing jersey 18.
