Eastwood re-signs through to the end of 2018

Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs forward Greg Eastwood has signed a two-year contract extension, taking him through to the end of 2018 and he's asking fans to share his commitment to the Club by signing on as Members when packages go on sale tomorrow, Tuesday 18 October.

29 year old Eastwood has played 147 games with the Club over seven seasons and is currently part of New Zealand's Four Nations squad.

Bulldogs CEO Raelene Castle says the retention of Eastwood is a welcome development for the team.

"With his hard running and impressive skills Greg has a real ability to break open a game.  He's an asset to our playing squad, a great family and provides a steadying influence around the Club - we're very pleased to have him on board for another two seasons," Castle said.

Eastwood says he's excited about what his future with the Bulldogs holds.

"I've had an association with the Bulldogs for a long time now, it's a place I think of as home and I'm happy to have locked in another two years here," Eastwood said.

"We've got great stability in the playing group and together we make a team that is competitive every time we take the field.

"I think the Bulldogs can give this competition a real shake in 2017 and I'm looking forward to being a part of it.

"I'm hoping that we'll have another record year of Memberships to share in the year ahead because I think it's going to be a season that we'll make them #proudtobeabulldog.

"As someone with four kids I was pleased to see that the Bulldogs have extended Family Memberships to include up to 8 people in this year's packages - we don't all fit the mould of 2 adults and 2 kids!"
