MATCH REVIEW & JUDICIARY | 2017 NRL Round 1

An overview of the charges from Round 1 of the NRL as they come to hand.

No charges from Thursday's Sharks v Broncos match.

Friday | Bulldogs v Storm

Three Storm players were charged from the Battle of Belmore.

Will Chambers (Storm) was issued a Grade 1 Contrary Conduct charge which carries a $1,500 fine ($1,100 with an early plea), for his fight with Sam Kasiano in the 37th minute.

Cameron Munster (Storm) was issued a Grade 1 Tripping charge which carries a $1,500 fine ($1,100 with an early plea) for a trip on Canterbury's Josh Jackson in the 47th minute.

Finally, Cheyse Blair (Storm) was issued a Grade 1 Dangerous Throw charge which carries 120 points (90 with an early plea), for a tackle on Josh Reynolds in the 69th. He will escape suspension if he takes the plea.

PLEAS: All three have accepted the early guilty plea. Chambers and Munster will pay the reduced fines while Blair is free to play on Friday against the Warriors.

No charges from Friday's Rabbitohs v Wests Tigers match.

No charges from Saturday's Dragons v Panthers match.

Saturday | Cowboys v Raiders

Clay Priest (Raiders) was issued a Grade 1 Dangerous Contact - Head/Neck charge (50th minute on Justin O'Neill), carrying 100 base points with 50% loading for a prior similar offence - 150 points total. With an early plea this is reduced to 112 points. Unless he fights the charge successfully at the Judiciary, Priest will miss one match.

Joseph Leilua (Raiders) was issued with a Grade 1 Contrary Conduct charge (55th minute on Gavin Cooper), which carries a base penalty of a $1,500 fine. With 20% loading for a non-similar prior offence, this goes up to $1,800. With an early plea, Leilua would pay just $1,350.

PLEAS: Both Priest and Leilua have taken the early guilty plea. Priest will miss one match and will be eligible to play against Wests Tigers in Round 3, while Leilua will pay only $1,350.

Saturday | Titans v Roosters

Mitchell Aubusson (Roosters) was issued a Grade 1 Dangerous Throw charge (25th minute on Ryan James), which carries a base penalty of 100 points. With no priors an early guilty plea (75 points) would see Aubusson escape suspension.

PLEA: Aubusson has taken the early guilty plea which sees him escape suspension.

No charges from Sunday's Warriors v Knights clash.

Sunday | Sea Eagles v Eels

Martin Taupau (Sea Eagles) was issued a charge for a Grade 1 Shoulder Charge (13th minute on Suaia Matagi), which carries a base penalty of 200 points. Taupau's three non-similar prior offences mean he has 60% loading, taking the total points to 320. He will miss two games with an early plea (240 points), or three games if he contests the charge unsuccessfully.

Addin Fonua-Blake (Sea Eagles) was issued a charge for a Grade 1 Shoulder Charge (80th minute on Corey Norman), which carries a base penalty of 200 points. Fonua-Blake's similar prior offence mean he has 50% loading, taking the total points to 300. He will miss two games with an early plea (225 points), or three games if he contests the charge unsuccessfully.

PLEAS: Both Taupau and Fonua-Blake have entered the early guilty plea. Each will serve a two-match ban and become eligibile for selection in Round 4 when the Sea Eagles host the Bulldogs.
