1.

Last week: 1st.

Undefeated and not looking like dropping their bundle any time soon. Keep an eye on them at Origin time though... their depth is yet to be challenged.

2.

Last week: 3rd

Superb win to break their Brookvale drought yesterday and showed they have what it takes to pile on the points.

3.

Last week: 4th

Dominated the Titans, even with players dropping like flies at various points. A very interesting period coming up as they take on a couple of teams toward the bottom of the table.

4.

Last week: 2nd

They certainly weren't put to shame by an enthusiastic Broncos side. To be 5-1 after six rounds in a competition with such wild results they're doing well, but will hope the loss isn't the start of a big slide.

5.

Last week: 7th

Showed their class emphatically, soundly beating the Knights from the opening whistle right through to fulltime. Consistency remains a struggle but they aren't going anywhere. Jacks looked far more comfortable directing traffic than Croft had in recent weeks.

6.

Last week: 11th

In a good vein of form, beaten only by the first-placed Dragons in recent weeks and ground out a great result over the Roosters. Maintaining the rage is key for them with games against Canberra and Brisbane in the next fortnight. Sam Burgess returns this week too - a real surprise packet thus far!

7.

Last week: 5th

As with last week their consistency is seeing them struggle big time. Would not have thought they'd be beaten so soundly by the Bunnies, and will want to be back in form by beating Canterbury this Thursday ahead of the annual ANZAC Day clash with the ladder leaders next Wednesday.

8.

Last week: 12th

Turned things around a bit with a solid win over the previously undefeated Warriors and looked a lot better with Bird in the halves rather than Nikorima. Have lost some forward depth with Gillett's injury but should be able to cover it going forward.

9.

Last week: 6th

Poor showing at home against the Tigers yesterday. Have the chance to turn things around once more after a patchy start to 2018, with a clash against last-placed Parramatta coming on Sunday.

10.

Last week: 8th

Looked a shadow of the positive team that showed up the fortnight of games prior to Sunday. Penrith were merciless and the Gold Coast boys struggled for answers. Just one more away game before they finally return home in Round 8.

11.

Last week: 9th

Away from McDonald Jones and they appear to struggle. Could benefit from a pseudo-home crowd on Saturday when they visit Tamworth to play Wests Tigers.

12.

Last week: 13th

Two wins on the bounce, but not a lot of quality in their opponents. Will not have it as easy against South Sydney on Saturday in Gosford.

13.

Last week: 15th

*That* is what we were expecting from the Bulldogs in 2018. Granted, the Cowboys aren't that much chop this year, but the Belmore boys showed far more willingness to move the ball and were far more desperate in defence than previous weeks. Big test v Roosters on Thursday.

14.

Last week: 10th

Another struggle this round, going down to the Dragons for the second time and their season is fast fading. An inconsistent spine isn't helping.

15.

Last week: 14th

Big concerns up in Townsville. Let's hope for their sake the Paul Green contract drama being resolved might clear some minds - but the leaders are looking a bit rusty this year and the new boys coming through aren't doing what was expected.

16.

Last week: 16th

Gutherson's return didn't even do the trick - no four-pointers against the Raiders and looking aimless on the field. What's doing Parra?
