Taukeiaho offloads 30m from the Manly line, too far in front for Tedesco to grab. The mistake gives Manly one more set.

Manly gained 60m and had Winterstein hitting a gap, but the pass is ruled forward. I've seen that not called forward plenty of times in other situations.

Conversion: Sea Eagles
Kicked by Daly Cherry-Evans.

Roosters lead Roosters 22 - 20 Sea Eagles

DCE converts from the left touchline. He'll be wanting the two points he didn't convert from in front of the posts in the first half.

Cronk goes high for Tom Trbojevic and takes the catch. Poor kick chase. PENALTY Manly. Ball raked in the tackle with more than one player, right on halfway.

There was 67m gained on this set. DCE kicks for Matthew Wright's corner, the winger gains possession but can't offload. Changeover.

Play is stopped for Dylan Walker, as there was a cannonball looking tackle on him from Manu. Walker is hurt around the knee. He's being bandaged up.

The Roosters look like they're out of ideas for attacking the line. They also ran on fifth tackle which had Latrell Mitchell easily pushed over the sideline.

It's a circus of errors. This second half is not quite NRL standard. He lost this in the play the ball.

The referee rules a forward pass. This is controversial. It also put Blake Ferguson in a hole for a certain try.

The Roosters' forwards are struggling for meters. So much pressure on the kicking game but Tom Trbojevic is the target and he's dropped the football again.

Forward pass on a 20m pass for Uate, who scores if the pass is legal. PENALTY Roosters given for backchat.

Lost on contact on tackle one. Trouble coming for the Roosters.

That's 60m from the Sea Eagles in one set. Winterstein has to hand the ball over four metres from the line.

The Roosters gave a bland set and were unorganised for tackle five. Cronk has to rush a kick which is easy for Manly to take.

On tackle five he's played the ball incorrectly. That's the seventh error from Manly in the second half.

Taupau has flattened Tedesco on a catch from the kickoff. Former teammates meeting again. Roosters gain just 38m but Cronk has once again kicked too deep and given a seven tackle set.

Successful from 20m out and on a slight diagonal line from the left.

Roosters lead Roosters 22 - 14 Sea Eagles

Penalty Roosters. Latrell Mitchell gets a chance to make an eight point lead with a penalty goal.

PENALTY Roosters. A player was prevented from chasing a kick. Latrell Mitchell was chasing a bomb which had Tom Trbojevic attempting the catch. Tom was snapped in half without the ball, but it goes unpenalised because of the first infringement. Tom is winded.

Radley comes up with a try saving tackle on Dylan Walker. A knock-on comes seconds after on the play the ball. The Roosters' players show him some love and the crowd is ecstatic for him.

PENALTY Manly. Radley rattles Taupau to the delight of the crowd. It's a high shot, Taupau is fine. A warning has been given that another penalty from the Roosters will lead to a sin bin.

PENALTY Manly. Play is stopped for Cronk to have a cut cleaned up.

PENALTY Manly. Conceded by Cooper Cronk, he held on too long. The Sea Eagles have a fresh set 25m out.

There's 56m from Manly and Suli puts a grubber kick behind the defence. The kick goes to the back of the in goal and Tedesco takes it dead by accident. The dropout goes 70m because no Manly player got in front of the kick.

Uate disregards Ferguson who tried to contest a last tackle bomb.

Manly gain 55m and had the Roosters scrambling as the ran to the left side on fifth tackle. Winterstein passed to find DCE, but it's gone to ground and to a Rooster. Manly still have a field position advantage though.

That's the best set from the Roosters today. Gained 68m and troubled Tom Trobojevic with a kick he knocked-on. Roosters have the ball and a new set to work with straight away.

Manly kicks off and we're back for the second half.

That's all there is for the first half. Plenty of points, as was to be expected, but level scores is a surprise. Martin Taupau was the standout of the first half. He made 130 metres, 43 metres better than any other player.

DCE tries a 40/20 on tackle three from dummy half. It looked a chance but the bounce isn't favourable. Here come the Roosters.

Penalty Goal: Sea Eagles
