RTS returns a kick strongly, straight past an arm grab from Dane Gagai. He makes 20 metres before being dragged down, and then the Rabbitohs are penalised to compound their problem.

An hour from kickoff, coach Kearney has chosen to drop Isaiah Papali'i with Karl Lawton onto the bench. South Sydney passed Robert Jennings fit earlier in the week, which pushes Hymel Hunt back to the interchange and Mark Nicholls out of the squad.
