Andrew Fifita then takes it up and his offload to Chad Townsend sees the halfback lose metres. Paul Gallen tries to inspire his troops but can't find much. They throw it around on the last but Brisbane have it back and that's the game.

Another strong effort in defence. Cronulla didn't throw much at them, with Matt Prior, Andrew Fifita and Paul Gallen all contributing customary runs before Matt Moylan took them on and was taken. The bomb on the last ends up with Anthony Milford. Andrew McCullough finds touch 20 out from the Cronulla line and the Sharks pack the scrum on their own 10. 1 minute 20 seconds left.

Massive effort in defence from Brisbane, shutting down strong runs by Matt Prior and Scott Sorensen close to the line but Josh Mcguire fumbles the grubber and they have to defend another set on their line.

Cronulla go for a short dropout and Jamayne Isaako and Matt Moylan both go for the ball. Isaako tumbles in a collision and Moylan is penalised. Should be the Sharks' ball given Isaako dropped it as Moylan's eyes were only for the ball.

Anthony Milford great game management! He forces Sione Katoa to take the ball dead and Brisbane build pressure. Cronulla were looking the better of the two sides but that was a big play by the five-eighth.

Valentine Holmes goes through off a lovely ball from Chad Townsend but Darius Boyd comes up with a great tackle to stop the fullback. Jesse Ramien then surges towards the right corner but is tackled. Cronulla spread it back left and Holmes looks to be through again and goes over the top for Ricky Leutele who looks to link with his winger but Brisbane knock it back and have the ball.

Cronulla spread it right and Matt Moylan is smacked by Anthony Milford and loses possession but the ball was hit out and the Sharks have another full set 30 out from the Brisbane line.

The Sharks are near halfway on the last and Valentine Holmes takes them on and grubbers infield for Chad Townsend. Jamayne Isaako dives on it and the halfback is ruled offside. Broncos over halfway.

Cronulla are getting physical in defence but a nice inside ball by Chad Townsend sees Tevita Pangai Junior storm through but he is taken down in a brave tackle by Matt Moylan.
