1.

Last week: 1st
Result: def. Raiders 44-10 @ AAMI
This week: v Rabbitohs @ ANZ

Put the cleaners through Canberra in a very clinical display. Can cement first place and be in the box seat to retain the J.J. Giltinan minor premiership shield if they can overcome South Sydney on Friday night.

2.

Last week: 2nd
Result: def. Eels 26-20 @ ANZ
This week: v Storm @ ANZ

Bounced back - just - against the last-placed Eels. Have hit the skids a little and will want a solid performance against the form team Melbourne next up.

3.

Last week: 4th
Result: def. Dragons 36-18 @ Allianz
This week: v Cowboys @ Allianz

Continued their rich vein of form with a solid win over fellow contenders the Dragons. Can effectively cement their top four spot with a win over North Queensland this Saturday.

4.

Last week: 3rd
Result: lost to Roosters 36-18 @ Allianz
This week: v Warriors @ WIN

Fell apart against the Tricolours and the signs are alarming for the once-favourites. Home game against the Warriors offers a good chance to bounce back.

5.

Last week: 6th
Result: def. Sharks 12-10 @ Suncorp
This week: v Bulldogs @ ANZ

Did what they had to in a controversial win over Cronulla. Their patchy performances need to lift if they're going to make an impact in September.

6.

Last week: 5th
Result: lost to Broncos 12-10 @ Suncorp
This week: v Manly @ SCGS

Succumbed to a gritty Broncos side but could feel hard done by. Should be able to consolidate their top eight spot with a win over Manly on Sunday.

7.

Last week: 8th
Result: def. Manly 28-24 @ Brookvale
This week: v Raiders @ Penrith

Played 70 awful minutes of footy before cruising home against Manly on Saturday with a flurry of late tries. Need plenty of improvement as the competition heads into the home straight.

8.

Last week: 7th
Result: lost to Titans 36-12 @ Cbus Super
This week: v Dragons @ WIN

Have stayed in Australia after Sunday's loss and will be keen to make amends against the Dragons. Will be hoping Issac Luke and Tohu Harris can return.

9.

Last week: 12th
Result: def. Warriors 36-12 @ Cbus Super
This week: v Eels @ ANZ

Picked up a handy win against a weakened and listless Warriors side. Another chance to pick up competition points this Saturday against Parramatta.

10.

Last week: 9th
Result: lost to Bulldogs 16-4 @ ANZ
This week: v Knights @ McDonald Jones

Spectacular failure followed spectacular form for this mob, scalping the then-top two sides in the Dragons and Rabbitohs before crumbling to the cellar-dwelling Bulldogs. Season over in reality if they can't account for Newcastle on Friday evening.

11.

Last week: 10th
Result: lost to Cowboys 18-16 @ 1300SMILES
This week: v Wests Tigers @ McDonald Jones

Last-minute defeat to potential spooners North Queensland wasn't in their plans. Their flagging finals hopes are just about done for now.

12.

Last week: 11th
Result: lost to Storm 44-10 @ AAMI
This week: v Panthers @ Penrith

Flogged by a clinical Melbourne side and now face a Panthers side hungry to regain some form.

13.

Last week: 14th
Result: def. Wests Tigers 16-4 @ ANZ
This week: v Broncos @ ANZ

Clunky in attack still, but played some decent footy and defended brilliantly to overcome the Tigers. Plenty of spoiler value in this mob as the finals approach.

14.

Last week: 16th
Result: def. Knights 18-16 @ 1300SMILES
This week: v Roosters @ Allianz

Cracked a win - albeit last minute and controversial - against Newcastle. Very much an uphill battle coming on Saturday against an in-form Roosters.

15.

Last week: 13th
Result: lost to Rabbitohs 26-20 @ ANZ
This week: v Titans @ ANZ

Nearly stunned the Rabbitohs but couldn't hold their lead. Should be an entertaining match against the Titans on Saturday.

16.

Last week: 15th
Result: lost to Panthers 28-24 @ Brookvale
This week: v Sharks @ SCGS

Led comfortably until the last ten minutes then let the mother of all comebacks happen in front of their eyes. The spoon is now a very real possibility.
