FULL TIME - The Roosters have claimed a commanding 38-8 win over the Knights. Thanks for joining me. Full wrap to come.

Great resilience from the Knights who will survive this set and work their way out of their own half.

The centre is sin binned, adding to a terrible night for Moga.

Kalyn Ponga comes up with an error after being crushed in a tackle and Victor Radley races away before being dragged down by Tautau Moga. The centre holds him down and is sin binned.

Newcastle explore the left hand edge and they have an overlap but Tautau Moga throws it expecting Nathan Ross to be there but it goes over the sideline with the winger trailing behind him.

The Knights go short off the dropout and force an error from the Tricolours.

Latrell Mitchell puts in an early chip down the short side but is taken out by Sione Mata'utia who concedes the penalty. Sio Siua Taukeiaho taps and takes the first hit-up before being tackled 10 out. Luke Keary spins out of the tackle before linking with James Tedesco who explores the right side before being swarmed on.Jake Friend grubbers on the 3rd - a strange choice - but he forces the dropout.

Slade Griffin puts in an early clearing kick but it goes dead.

A penalty for offside gives the Roosters another chance to strike as they begin their new set just 20 short of the Newcastle line. Cronk goes to Lui who takes the opening hit-up. Luke Keary links with James Tedesco but the fullback comes up with another error.

Jared Waerea-Hargreaves attempts the offload but has dropped the ball. While the game may be over, the Knights have a chance to add some respect to the developing scoreline. Newcastle spread it right quickly as Brock Lamb attempts to find space out wide but Reece Robinson knocks it down and the Knights gain another set.

For mine that was the current try of the year. Executed beautifully! Cooper Cronk chips for Luke Keary who races through and takes it. The five-eighth is taken from behind but as he falls Keary offloads for Radley and it is a perfect pass that sees the utility race away to score! Absolutely breathtaking - make sure to catch the highlights!

WHAT A TRY! Going to the Bunker to check a possible four pointer to Radley.

The Knights have conceded another penalty now and the Roosters march up field courtesy of the Cronk kick for touch. They begin their set 40 out from the Newcastle line. An offload sees Jake Friend race away and take it past the 30. Jared Waerea-Hargreaves barges past the 20 but now a mix up sees Latrell Mitchell come up with an error.

Penalty Knights and they have a full set 10 out. Mitchell Pearce goes to a charging Aidan Guerra who almost slices through if not for a strong tackle. Another offside penalty is now called against the Roosters. Ponga will shoot for two. An interesting choice. Probably wise given the rain.

Penalty Knights for offside. Newcastle begin their set 30 out from the Roosters' line. Lachlan Fitzgibbon takes it past the 20 metre mark before a spread right sees Aidan Guerra tackled just shy of the 10. Mitchell Pearce grubbers on the last but Jake Friend is there to dive on it. Boyd Cordner makes a strong charge taking it past the 40 before a terrible ball by Luke Keary hits Latrell Mitchell rather than hitting the intended target - an unmarked Reece Robinson. Meanwhile, Connor Watson appears gone for the game with a shoulder issue while Sione Mata'utia is off getting a HIA test.

The Knights themselves have again made a mistake with Tautau Moga coming up with the error. Luckily, the mistake came 30 out from the Roosters line and the home side subsequently has to work it out of their own end. A strong run by Isaac Liu has taken Easts into the Newcastle half but the Roosters have coughed it up. Play is stopped now with Connor Watson and Sione Mata'utia both down receiving treatment.

Cooper Cronk goes short to Sio Siua Taukeiaho who goes straight through the middle but it is ruled forward. Fortunate break for Newcastle!

The rain is falling now at Allianz Stadium as both sides trade sets early. It is coming down heavy now and will be interesting to see who it favours. Luke Keary kicks on the last and it is an awkward one for SKD but the winger is able to nervously take it and the Knights begin to work their way out of their own end but a lost ball by Sione Mata'utia has gifted the home team a full set 40 out from the Newcastle line.

Dylan Napa surges past the 20 metre mark on the first before Reece Robinson struggles to make metres after being met by strong Newcastle defence. Isaac Liu makes it to the 40 on the fourth and Cooper Cronk clears on the last to Kalyn Ponga who starts Newcastle's set on his own 20. The Knights outside backs are all coming together to help their forwards out and one of them has just burst straight through! Kalyn Ponga just danced through the line and sprinted down the middle and looked for Lachlan Fitzgibbon in support but the pass was terrible and the Roosters survive.
